Lansdowne Lodge No. 711
#OnThisDay in 1753, George Washington became a Master Mason, the third degree of Masonry. Washington paid two pounds and three shillings in 1752 to join the Lodge at Fredericksburg, Virginia. He received his first degree of Entered Apprentice on November 4, 1752 and then rose to the second degree of Fellowcraft four months after that.
